Cristina has 34 years’ experience providing services to clients. She has 25 years’ experience in law with a focus on corporate-transactional, legal strategy, mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs, as well as on advising clients on social aspects of the practice areas of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG), specifically in regard to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).

In the first 10 years of her professional career, in the hotel sector, she concentrated on promotion and attraction of potential clients for the hotel in which she worked. As the hotel’s Director of Corporate Sales, she developed the area of sales of consortiums, which translated into an increase in the volume of sales.

Cristina provides guidance and legal advice to foreign entities in connection with the Mexican market, primarily in the creation of strategies to establish operations in Mexico, the implementation of such strategies from the legal perspective, including the coordination of various areas such as, among others, tax, labor, foreign trade, environment, and industrial property.

She also advises clients on merger, acquisitions, spin-offs, day-to-day operations, including, when required, the closure of operations in Mexico.

In addition, she assists clients in the coordination of their operations in other jurisdictions. She also advises clients in antitrust matters.

Cristina established the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) for Sanchez DeVanny Eseverri, S.C. which she chaired. Cristina directed the committee on diversity to establish actions related to DEI which had a positive impact within the organization and externally. She also is an active member of AbogadasMX, an organization in which she has participated in projects such as UN Women (ONU Mujeres) to establish the Minimum Standards of Inclusion and Diversity within law firms in Mexico. Her participation in these projects has allowed Cristina to provide legal guidance in matters of DEI internally and for clients regarding the designing and implementation of the DEI strategy within the businesses.

She also formed the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) of Sánchez-DeVanny Eseverri, S.C., participating in the advice to clients in the social aspect of ESG, particularly the impact of DEI.

Cristina represented Sánchez-DeVanny Eseverri, S.C. in the SGC Legal since 206, an international network of law firms ranked by Chambers & Partners Global as the best network of law firms in the world. She was a member of the Board of Directors from 2017 through 2022 where she worked on initiatives to strengthen women’s’ leadership in the organization’s law firms, and the management and strategic actions of the organization.
